D.Cult: Immersive Web Experience

D.Cult was an experimental website project I created around two years ago, exploring how motion, depth, and storytelling could become part of the overall web experience rather than simply decorative effects. The website uses rich, atmospheric illustrations with layered foreground and background elements. As users move through the experience, these layers respond at different speeds, creating a sense of depth and cinematic movement. The complete parallax interaction and motion direction were designed and prototyped in Figma, allowing me to test transitions, timing, composition, and the overall flow before implementation.

The Challenge

The goal was to make a highly visual website feel immersive without allowing the artwork or animation to overpower the content. Each screen needed to work both as a strong standalone composition and as part of one continuous experience.

The Solution

I developed a layered design system where typography, interface elements, characters, environments, lighting, and foreground objects work together at different depths.
Using Figma prototyping and motion techniques, I created parallax-style transitions that give the scenes a more dimensional feel while guiding users naturally through the content.
The result is an experience that feels closer to interactive storytelling than a traditional static website.
