I developed a highly efficient and accurate transformer-based model, Segformer, for crop/weed image segmentation, significantly outperforming the production model at Blue River Technology (BRT). Due to its comparable computational speed, BRT is considering deploying Segformer in production after hardware upgrades and further model optimization.
