Hanna Retana

Hi there, I'm Hanna,
I help Smart Cities SaaS and social impact startups build marketing operations that actually drive growth.
I've spent 8+ years leading marketing and sales for B2B tech companies, from corporate giants like Bosch to lean startups pivoting into new markets. I specialize in the messy middle: taking early traction and turning it into scalable, data-driven systems that founders can trust.
Most recently, I led Switchboard Live's pivot into the U.S. Public Sector, achieving product-market fit in under a year, boosting ARPU by 80%, and building the marketing infrastructure to support business development. Before that, I built analytics engines from scratch at early-stage startups and pioneered nearshore sales departments for Fortune 500 companies.
What I Do: I build three things for mission-driven SaaS founders:
Positioning & Strategy — Messaging frameworks that resonate with government buyers, impact investors, and mission-aligned enterprises. I translate complex tech into clear value propositions that get you shortlisted.
Marketing Operations & Analytics — The infrastructure that tells you what's working: GA4/GTM/MixPanel/YouNameIt setups, custom dashboards, campaign workflows, and reporting that drives real decisions.
Go-to-Market Execution — From SEM campaigns to partnership enablement to event strategy, I deploy campaigns that align with long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder buying committees.
Who I Work With: My sweet spot is B2B SaaS startups in:
Public Sector SaaS (gov-tech, procurement platforms, citizen services)
Smart Cities / Connected Cities (urban tech, IoT, civic engagement platforms)
Social Impact Tech (health equity, sustainability, nonprofit enablement)
If you're a founder or lean team trying to break into government/nonprofit/impact markets, we should talk. Grab 30 minutes with me -- It's free.
