The Challenge
A local retail business needed to transition from a purely physical operation to a digital storefront capable of handling online orders, product browsing, and customer engagement.
My Approach
I designed and built a custom e-commerce architecture from scratch, focusing on creating a seamless shopping experience that reflected the brand's identity while being optimized for conversions.
Key decisions:
Built a responsive storefront with Bootstrap for fast, consistent layouts across devices
Structured the product catalog with clear categories and intuitive navigation
Implemented SEO best practices from day one to drive organic traffic
Used Claude as an AI-assisted development tool to accelerate the build process
Technical Stack
The platform was developed using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap, with Visual Studio Code as the primary development environment. I focused on clean, maintainable code that the client's team could understand and extend.
The Result
A fully functional digital storefront that brought the client's retail business online, with optimized product pages, a smooth checkout flow, and a responsive design that works across all devices.
