JumpStart is a Colorado-based tech startup offering a mobile phone charging rental service. Through their app, users can rent portable battery packs from kiosks placed at bars, restaurants, sports stadiums, and other high-traffic locations — and return them to any kiosk in the network. Their mission is simple: improve community connectivity so no one ever has to worry about a dead phone battery again.

I was brought in to design and develop a clean, modern landing page that communicates the product clearly, drives app downloads, and attracts new kiosk hosting partners.

JumpStart is a consumer tech product with a very simple core concept—but the challenge was communicating that concept instantly and convincingly. Key challenges included:

Explaining a new type of service (rent-and-return chargers) to first-time visitors quickly

Driving two separate actions — app downloads AND kiosk hosting inquiries

Making the "How It Works" process feel effortless and easy to understand

Building a clean, modern look that fits the tech/startup space

Keeping the experience simple and distraction-free on mobile

I focused on clarity, simplicity, and strong conversion design.

Key design decisions included:

Bold hero section with a single strong headline—"Charge On The Go!"—and direct App Store + Google Play download buttons

Mission section to build brand trust and communicate the company's community-focused values

Step-by-step "How It Works" section with app screenshots for visual clarity

Clean contact section targeting both end users and potential kiosk hosts

Minimal navigation to keep focus on conversion

Mobile-first layout since the target audience is primarily mobile users
