However, something interesting happened in his youth.

His mother told him something that would not only change his life but the course of history as we know it.

She told him…

He was the son of the Greek god Zeus.

Now, because of this.

He believed he was divine and therefore released himself from the shackles of all forms of doubt.

The result?

He conquered over 70 cities and built a large empire of about 2 million square miles in those days still as a youth.

He almost conquered the world.

It’s no doubt Alexander achieved such great feats because his mother made him believe he was a god, being the son of Zeus.

I can relate to his story because my mother also played a big role in my success.

She believed in me and would always tell me “Golibe remember the son of whom you are, remember where you are coming from”

And that’s why the moment I received the Award of Excellence from Africa Choice Award a few days ago, I knew she was the reason why I had made it this far.

DAY 10 - Lamborgini

Subject Line: FNAME, That your problem is a gift.

We have been raised to believe that all our problems are bad and so we should avoid or escape them at all cost.

But successful people in today's world would tell you the exact opposite.

Infact,

There’s an old Chinese Proverb that says in every crisis lies the seed of opportunity.

You hear the name “Lamborghini” and marvel at how amazing and prestigious their sports cars are.

But what you don’t realize is that the idea behind the cars came from a problem.

A BIG PROBLEM.

Ferrucio Lamborghini, the founder of the Lamborghini company

Was born to a family of farmers.

And growing up,

Feruccio always had a fascination with engines and mechanics.

He would experiment with the engines of his father’s farming equipment.

Learned to repair broken down bicycles, motorcycles and trucks with reused parts.

And soon after the war in 1945, Feruccio noticed there was a lack of farm tractors affordable for the everyday farmer like his family.

This was a BIG problem for his family and community.

How would they feed?

How would they continue their means of livelihood?

Most people would have given up in despair at the face of this problem.

But not Feruccio,

Instead,

He chose to see it as a gift that would present a unique opportunity.

He then began to build tractors with the knowledge he had gained in mechanics and through experimenting with his fathers equipment…

Making tractors with parts from military vehicles.

All so he could assist his father and community in farming.

Little did he know at the time…

That he was on the path to creating a majestic sports car company that would revolutionize the world of sports cars.

Soon after creating the tractors,

Ferrucio became popular

And in a few short years afterwards…

Feruccio’s tractor business became a successful company and one of the largest agricultural manufacturers in Italy.

At the time, he never thought to shift his business from farm vehicles to supercars.

But destiny had found a way to draw him into the sports cars business.

Soon after becoming one of the largest agricultural manufacturers in italy,

Feruccio became ultra successful and could now afford luxury cars.

The Ferrari was the car that piqued his interest from all other luxury cars available at the time.

So he purchased a Ferrari.

It was at this point where he had come in direct path with destiny.

Though the Ferrari was one of the most powerful sports cars in the world at the time,

Ferrucio was not satisfied with it after making the purchase.

He found it was too noisy and rough to handle.

He especially hated the clutch because he had to repair it many times.

This was a BIG problem for him because he couldn't enjoy driving this luxury car he had spent his precious money to purchase.

And so he met with Enzo Ferrari, the founder of the Ferrari sports cars.

He made suggestions on how the Ferraris could be improved.

But Enzo Ferrari told him something unpleasant that would awaken the desire in him to build his own sports cars.

“It is better to focus on your tractor business than to pay attention to my cars.

Go back to you tractors farmer”

This made Feruccio furious and so he decided to get to work.

He was once again going to see his problem as a gift and turn it around for his advantage.

And so he said to himself,

“I am going to build the number 1 sports car in the world.”

And he did.

The Lamborghini sports car at its launch solved all the problems you would have found in the Ferraris at the time and it was desired by all the wealthy people who could afford it.

Today,

The Lamborghini brand has amassed over Billions of dollars in sales.

And is regarded as a brand of excellence and prestige.

People don’t even casually play around with the name “Lamborghini” because of how majestic the brand is.

May your surname mean something before you die, may your surname resonate through the sands of time like Lamborghini.

All this happened because the man, Ferrucio Lamborghini would not see problems

Instead he saw problems as gifts that would yield money.

DAY 11 - Andrew Carneige

FNAME, You must have heard the saying:

“Don’t put all your eggs in one basket”

Heck!

We have even been told to practice this in business.

You’ll hear so-called business gurus say:

“If you want to be rich, you must have multiple businesses”

And to be honest,

It’s easy to see why this makes sense on some level…

Because all wealthy people have multiple streams of income.

And so…

That means the way to be successful is to establish multiple businesses right?

Wrong.

We’ve been told wrong.

While it’s true that wealthy people have multiple streams of income,

They don’t set out to establish multiple businesses.

At least not all at once.

They build one and nurture it before thinking about starting another.

The truly wealthy people understand this.

Take it from the richest man in the world in the 1900s,

Andrew Carnegie.

He said:

“Put all your good eggs in one basket and watch that basket”

This could not be any closer to the truth.

And to prove that this works…

Andrew Carnegie lived by this.

You see,

Andrew Carnegie wasn’t born into a wealthy family so he couldn't afford the luxury of making big business mistakes…

His father and mother were immigrants from Scotland, who came to America in search of greener pastures.

His father was a hand loom weaver and his mother was a shoe maker,

Despite his little beginning…

Andrew would not let that stop him from making his impact on the world.

At the age of 13, he got a job as a messenger in a telegraph office.

It was at this point he came in contact with Thomas Scott who would serve as a mentor to him.

Thomas gave Andrew great investment advice that helped him on his journey to great success.

Andrew started leaning towards politics and soon enough…

Andrew discovered there was a problem in the united states.

Their bridges were made of wood.

And so he created a steel producing company.

His steel company built America.

He lived by example showing us that you achieve great success by focussing and giving your all to one business idea before starting another.

So I might as well tell you a little about the Wonder of Africa, we call Namibia while we’re on air.

Strap in.

Get comfortable.

This is going to be an interesting experience.

“How would you describe Namibia in one word?”

BEAUTIFUL!

That’s how I would describe it.

And I’m not just talking about its beautiful Capital City, Windhoek.

No…

The City was built by man made efforts and genius.

I’m talking about something deeper.

Something greater.

It’s natural beauty.

Orchestrated by Divine Design.

In one word…

“Dunes.”

Namibia is the home to the oldest desert in the world having an abundant presence of sand dunes.

You see…

This wonder of Namibia has made it a country of tourism, as tourism serves as the fourth largest source revenue for the country.

Precisely a place called Sossusvlei with astonishing sand dunes.

Despite the fact that Namibia has a population of 2.5 Million people which isn't even up to 1/4 of lagos’ population alone…

People are always coming from far and wide to experience its beauty and wonders.

Including your favorite Hollywood Stars.

The 2015 blockbuster movie, Mad Max Road Fury with a gross value of over $380 Million Dollars was filmed in Namibia…

As well as The Mummy and 10,000 BC.

But that’s not all the wonder you’d find in Namibia.

There’s also a special place called Deadvlei.

What makes Deadvlei so special is that the trees found in its location despite their remarkable size, prestige and height are really just-

Dead trees.

The trees are dead but still standing firm.

They are estimated to be about 900 years old.

What’s more to love about Namibia?

Their Roads.

It’s on record that Namibia has the best roads in Africa.

You can literally drive for long distances without seeing a single pothole.

And one final remarkable thing about Namibia?

Aside from The 5 star lodges for and restaurants you’d find in the desert…

There’s one more wonder of the Deserts.

The Namib Desert.

The Namib Desert is the only place in the world where the oldest Desert and the Atlantic Ocean meet.

That’s huge!

Africa really is blessed with these wonders.
