Hijacker Alert: Amazon Listing Protection App

Project Overview: Hijacker Alert is a web application designed to help Amazon sellers monitor their product listings and receive real-time alerts when unauthorized sellers (hijackers) take control of their listings. The app automates the process of identifying hijackers by monitoring changes in Buy Box ownership, price fluctuations, seller information, and other crucial indicators.

Role: I was responsible for designing the complete UI/UX for Hijacker Alert, from concept to completion. This included creating the landing page, user dashboard, and all key interfaces. My goal was to design a seamless experience that empowers Amazon sellers to efficiently protect their listings through a clean and intuitive interface.

Design Process:

Research & Planning: I began with research on existing tools in the market (such as Helium 10 and AMZ Alert) to understand their strengths and weaknesses. Based on this, I crafted a feature-rich design that simplifies complex monitoring tasks while focusing on user-friendliness.

Wireframing: Starting with low-fidelity wireframes, I defined the structure and flow of the app, including the layout of the dashboard and alert system.

UI Design: After finalizing the wireframes, I moved to high-fidelity UI design, ensuring consistency with the brand’s color scheme, typography, and style guide. The main focus was on creating a visually engaging, yet highly functional interface for non-technical users.

Prototyping: I built interactive prototypes to validate the user flow and interaction points for key features like the real-time alert system and the analytics dashboard.

Key Features:

Dashboard Overview: A concise and informative dashboard providing Amazon sellers with key insights into their listings, including Buy Box status, active hijacker alerts, and pricing trends.

Real-Time Alerts: A notification system designed to alert sellers instantly when any unauthorized seller hijacks their listing, changes the price, or modifies product details.

Listing Management: Easy-to-use interfaces for adding and monitoring ASINs, viewing current seller data, and setting up authorized seller lists.

Analytics & Reporting: Detailed historical data analysis of Buy Box ownership, pricing trends, and hijacker activity over time to help sellers optimize their strategies.

Outcome: The result is a clean, responsive, and user-friendly interface that empowers Amazon sellers to protect their brand more effectively. The app design emphasizes ease of use, with quick access to the most critical data, real-time notifications, and actionable insights for minimizing the impact of hijackers on Amazon listings.
