My Mariupol photobook

The author of the book, Myroslav Kobyliansky, is my good friend and an officer in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In his free time, Myroslav loved to travel the world and his native country, leaving terabytes of incredible photos as a keepsake.

After the occupiers destroyed and occupied Mariupol, he had an idea to capture the city in the memory of millions and show the world what the "City of Steel" was like and how it will never be seen again.

For the people of Mariupol who were lucky enough to survive, this book will serve as a reminder of what their home was like. And for those who have never been to Mariupol, this book is an opportunity to visit the peaceful corner of Donbas as it was before the terrible invasion of barbarians from russia.

The photobook consists of 212 pages, almost every page has high-quality illustrations of the modern Ukrainian city on the shores of the Azov Sea, as well as some of its neighboring settlements.

Out of the more than half a million population of Mariupol, who lived and enjoyed life in their native city, the photos of which you have just viewed, every second person was forced to leave their home to escape the war, and every fourth person died...

Only according to the official information of the Illichiv Morgue, 87,000 identified dead and 26,750 unrecognizable are documented... The defense lasted almost 3 months. Mariupol became a martyr city, which, at the cost of its own destruction, restrained the advance of the Russian occupying forces deep into the country. This is a memory we will keep. And we will do our best to cherish it.
