FoodiesOnly is an interactive digital platform designed to bring together food enthusiasts, home chefs, and culinary experts. It allows users to explore authentic Indian cuisines, share recipes, read food blogs, and participate in interactive experiences like quizzes and cooking challenges.
As a Full Stack Developer, I architected and built the backend infrastructure and authentication system, ensuring a secure, scalable, and seamless user experience across the platform.
Key Highlights:
Developed and integrated SSO authentication using Google and Meta (Facebook) for frictionless login and onboarding.
Designed and deployed a high-performance backend using Node.js (Express.js, Prisma) with MongoDB for structured content and user data.
Implemented personalized content delivery, enabling users to view recipes and blogs based on preferences.
Built REST APIs for Recipes, Blogs, Festivals, and User Management with secure token-based access (JWT).
Created robust caching strategies to improve data access speeds and scalability.

Case Study: FoodiesOnly – Building a Digital Community for Food Lovers
Problem
India’s diverse culinary culture lacked a digital-first community platform that connects food enthusiasts and home chefs under one roof. Existing recipe apps were either too commercial or lacked authentic community-driven experiences.
Goal: To create an all-in-one platform where users can:

Solution
I designed and implemented a secure, modular, and scalable architecture that powers the entire FoodiesOnly ecosystem.
Backend Architecture
Built on Node.js + Express.js, following RESTful principles.
Used Prisma ORM with MongoDB for flexible data management.
Implemented JWT-based authentication and OAuth2 login with Google & Meta.
Designed services for Recipes, Blogs, Users, and Festival modules.
Frontend & Experience
Integrated backend APIs with a modern Next.js frontend for SSR and SEO benefits.
Optimized dynamic routes for recipes, blogs, and festivals for better crawlability.
Implemented responsive UI/UX for mobile-first engagement.

Added Redis caching for faster data access and reduced load on MongoDB.
Used helmet & rate limiting for API protection.
