Cake Bake App design - Case Study

This project is my own idea in which I tried to solve the problem of ordering customized cakes of your own choice & make your events more memorable.

Problem Statement

Customized cakes are becoming popular in worldwide & people wants to order that instead of simple baked cakes for their events. They need a trusted platform/brand that allows them to order customized cake by selecting cake type, sponge flavour, # of pounds & their desired cake design.

Solution

In order to tackle this problem, I've created a virtual bakery named "Cake Bake" that allows customers to order a customized cake by providing information like cake type (birthday cake, anniversay cake etc), Sponge flavour, # of pounds, special instructions & delivery date & time (schedule delivery). Customer can also select cake design from the pre-defined options or can upload his own cake design (reference design)

What is Cake Bake?

It's an online bakery that provides customized cakes, decorated cakes, pastries, cup cakes, biscuits & much more on customers doorstep. This is mobile application from where customers can place their orders.

User research

After figuring out the solution, I did some user research & tried to get the bottom of the problem of ordering customized cakes. What are the pain-points of users, what are their needs, what features they want in Cake Bake app.

Order customized cakes by filling out the form

Check decorative cake, pastries, cup cakes & other bakery item

check the customized cakes request & can communicate with the customer agent of Cake Bake

Place an order by providing the shipping information & payment information

Conclusion

With the help of this platform, it's easy for the customers to order customized cakes of their special events. Along with that, they can enjoy other eatable products like pastries, cup cakes etc. Through this project, I tried to enhance my UI & UX skills & documented everything in this case study that I experienced.
