Winning the shelf-war. I designed the Supernova HD packaging to reflect the speed and power of the console inside, using high-contrast industrial graphics and a technical-first layout.

Power in a Box

In the world of gaming, the box is the first level. For the Supernova HD, I didn't just want to design a container; I wanted to design a trophy. The goal was to create packaging that looks as powerful as the frame rates the console delivers.

The Creative Strategy: "Cyber-Industrial Excellence"

The design leans heavily into a Tech-Noir aesthetic—dark, aggressive, and highly detailed.
The Hardware Spotlight: I used a top-down technical illustration of the console as the focal point. This gives the customer an "X-ray" view of the power they are about to buy.
The "Vitals" Panel: I designed custom iconography for the technical specs (HD, Console, Controller) to make the features digestible at a glance in a high-speed retail environment.
Kinetic Red Accents: Using a "Supernova Red" against a matte black background creates a high-contrast visual vibration, drawing the eye immediately to the brand name and the most important hardware details.

Technical Precision

2D-to-3D Integration: I meticulously crafted the 2D dieline in Illustrator, ensuring every bleed and margin was perfect for the Pacdora 3D render.
Information Hierarchy: Organized the box flaps to balance brand storytelling with necessary legal and technical fine print without cluttering the "hero" visuals.

The Impact

Retail Dominance: The high-contrast red-on-black scheme ensures the product stands out on a shelf crowded with competitors.
Premium Feel: By treating the box as a piece of art, the perceived value of the Supernova HD is elevated from a "gadget" to a "high-end gaming machine.
