Neobilities — An Accessibility-First Kajabi Platform

Neobilities is an education and empowerment brand built for people with disabilities. From the first conversation, one thing was clear: accessibility couldn't be a feature bolted on at the end — it had to be the foundation the entire platform was built on. They needed a site that felt fully custom to their brand, matched a high design bar, and was genuinely usable by everyone, going well beyond what Kajabi offers out of the box.

I designed the entire platform from the ground up, exploring several distinct theme directions — a bold, high-contrast system and a warmer, gold-forward one — before locking the final look with the client. Every color, type, and layout decision was weighed against contrast and readability standards, so the design would be striking and inclusive rather than trading one for the other. Nothing here is a template; it was built specifically for Neobilities' brand and mission.

Once the design was approved, I hand-built the full site in Kajabi, custom-coding the parts the platform can't do natively. That's where most Kajabi builds hit a ceiling — but with the right CSS and JavaScript, you can achieve almost anything, and this project pushed that further than most.

The centerpiece is a custom accessibility toolbar built directly into the site — something Kajabi has no native support for. Visitors can adjust text size, toggle high-contrast mode, and force underlined links on the fly, adapting the experience to their own needs. Making that work seamlessly and consistently across every page took heavy custom coding, and it's what turns the platform from "accessible-looking" into genuinely accessible.
