Gathering Sounds: Field Recording with the Rainbow Family

Designed, formatted, and created e-book, paperback, and hardcover editions of a 100,000-word, 552-page work of ethnomusicology focused on the Rainbow Gathering, an annual event bringing a loose community of kindred spirits together at locations all over the world. The work involved incorporating scores of links to supplemental audio files hosted on the author's website, with corresponding text links in the print editions. All editions also feature over a hundred captioned photographs and illustrations, and nearly as many footnotes, calling for a complex and unique layout and design.

Also advised the author on self-publishing best practices, assisted with copywriting and marketing strategies, and handled uploads and file approvals on Amazon, Draft2Digital (for the e-book edition) and IngramSpark (for the print editions).
