Introducing Farmalze: Bridging Tech and Agriculture with AI-Powered Diagnosis for Farmers.   As a UI/UX designer passionate about leveraging technology for social good, I’m thrilled to share a project close to my heart: Farmalze, an AI-driven mobile app empowering farmers to diagnose crop and livestock diseases in seconds.
The Problem: Smallholder farmers often lack access to timely veterinary or agronomic expertise, leading to devastating crop losses and livestock fatalities. Traditional diagnosis can be slow, costly, and inaccessible in remote areas.
The Solution: With Farmalze, farmers simply snap a photo of a sick plant or animal. Using computer vision and machine learning models trained on thousands of disease patterns, the app: ✅ Identifies diseases (e.g. Blight in tomatoes, foot-and-mouth in cattle) ✅ Provides instant treatment recommendations (organic & chemical options) ✅ Connects users to  veterinarians/agronomists ✅ Offers preventative care tips.
This project reinforced my belief that great design isn’t just about pixels—it’s about empathy, context and dolving real world problems.
