The Challenge
Air Axis NW required a high-impact corporate website to present their commercial drone inspection, mapping, and surveillance services to prospective enterprise clients across green energy, construction, and infrastructure sectors.
Key technical requirements included:
Translating complex visual design files into a responsive, pixel-perfect WordPress theme.
Implementing smooth UI interactions and scroll animations without sacrificing page speed or Core Web Vitals performance.
Building an intuitive back-end structure for seamless client-side content updates.
The Approach
Responsive & Interface Layout
To avoid the performance penalties and security vulnerabilities associated with bloated third-party page builders, I built a custom WordPress theme using native PHP templates, SCSS, and vanilla JavaScript.
Modular Theme Architecture: Developed clean PHP template parts and native WordPress custom settings to manage landing page sections efficiently.
Performant Frontend Scripts: Wrote lightweight CSS/JS animation routines running smoothly at 60 FPS without reliance on bulky external frameworks.
Form Integration: Built custom request-a-quote forms directly integrated with client notification webhooks and lead routing endpoints.
