Conexus' brief wanted the concept behind the word "nexus" to play a role in the logo. The idea of "interconnectedness" needed to be prominent.
I decided to go for a an "X" symbol (Conexus) that would constitute interconnecting lines, using a strong font reflecting the company colors.
The logo was tested in greyscale as well as full color, and in icon format too:
