Netflix's internal Muslim Employee Resource Group was on a mission to find a Muslim artist to help them revamp their logo. Their specifications included incorporating the traditional Netflix look and feel to carry over the organizations identity, as well as including recognizable elements to anyone that identifies as Muslim. The faith transcends ethnic groups, so this was a key emphasis to not focus too much on one Muslim identity versus others. We worked together to visualize the Arabic letter "noon" as a replacement for the iconic Netflix "N," as the Arabic alphabet is considered a foundation of the religion. I carried over the brand coloring and also mimicked the recognizable folds of the lettering into this new iteration.
