Challenge
OpenText needed a product video for Core Signature, their cloud-based e-signature SaaS tool.
The goal:
Explain the benefits of secure, digital signing.
Make a technical product feel approachable, calm, and trustworthy.
Deliver a polished, premium video that matched OpenText’s brand identity.
The challenge was balancing clarity and emotion — showing productivity and security, but in a way that feels like a breath of fresh air instead of a dry corporate demo.
Process
I started by researching visual metaphors that could convey ease, simplicity, and freedom — the feeling of having work handled seamlessly.
To achieve that:
I structured the edit around the user journey — from signing to completion — keeping the flow intuitive.
I researched and selected stock footage that evoked calm, open spaces, and natural light — the visual equivalent of a “magical getaway.”
I used smooth transitions, soft gradients, and gentle pacing to create a sense of peace and control.
Sound design focused on light ambient tones and subtle motion cues to enhance the experience without overwhelming the viewer.
Every choice — from timing to tone — aimed to make the viewer feel that using Core Signature is not just efficient, but effortless.
Outcome
The final video delivered:
A visually relaxing, emotionally confident product story.
Clear communication of product benefits without technical overload.
Consistent alignment with OpenText’s premium SaaS brand image.
OpenText used the video across digital campaigns and internal presentations, helping position Core Signature as an elegant, reliable signing solution.
The Idea was relevant shot for the voice over combined with simple strong text to support it.
