SWATI is an NGO started in 1994 to empower Indian rural women. it is committed to gender equality and socio-economic empowerment of rural women through building leadership and providing control over resources. The organization's work spreads from Ahmedabad, Surendranagar, and Pakdi districts in Gujarat and is anchoring a network of agencies working on gender-based violence in the same state: SWATI is working on many community initiatives.
About The Project
the objective was to redesign the identity of Swati as a unified identity system that is appropriate and explore the hierarchy of the organization.
The new identity should be recognizable, coherent, and holistic, and represent SWATI's core vision of Inclusion, Celebration, Interconnectedness, and Community & Diversity.
Story Behind The Logo
The lotus flower in the logo represents empowerment and the desire to live each day to the fullest. It stands for achievement and independence. The symbol of infinity stands for limitless possibilities and opportunities.
The lotus petal and infinity loop braided together symbolize interconnectedness and unity. Dark blue is a color of power, dependability, and trust.
The arch shows leaving the old behind and entering a new phase,i.e. the symbolism of SWATI moving from focusing on women to having a broader and more holistic approach. The color yellow represents happiness, approachability, and positivity.
The form as a whole depicts inclusion & interconnection. A movement from dark blue to yellow depicts a progressive movement from darkness to light.
