Project Context

A copywriter was working with a client on an hourly monthly retainer basis with a not-to-exceed pricing ceiling. The client did not always know what deliverables they needed, causing them to ask for things last minute.

Problem

The client and the copywriter were working in a last-minute, urgent way, leaving them both feeling stressed, frantic, and disorganized. They weren't spending enough time planning and strategizing, so work felt sporadic and not in flow.

Solution

I designed a repeatable, operationalized six-week sprint schedule in Monday.com with set monthly deliverables so both the copywriter and the client could work more proactively.

Outcomes:

Client got more organized and went from spending 80% of her week on Marketing to 20%, freeing up to focus on bigger issues
Copywriter increased hourly effective rate by moving to fixed-fee, predictable pricing
Copywriter got to work on content months ahead of time, finishing it more efficiently, freeing her up to take more time off or add more clients, depending on her mood
