The Problem

Students and religious communities need study tools that work reliably in low-connectivity environments: rural areas, developing regions, and places where internet access is intermittent or expensive. Existing study apps assume constant connectivity, which makes them useless offline. And none of them combine semantic search, audio narration, and AI-powered study assistance in a single mobile experience.

The Solution

An offline-first mobile study platform built for environments where connectivity can't be taken for granted. The app stores all content locally, supports semantic search across study materials, generates neural voice narration, includes sermon preparation tools, and runs AI features directly on-device without requiring a server round-trip.

Architecture & Approach

Mobile Framework: Built with Flutter and Dart for cross-platform deployment on iOS and Android from a single codebase.
Offline-First Design: All study content, search indexes, and AI models are stored and executed on-device. The app is fully functional without any network connection. When connectivity is available, it syncs seamlessly.
Key Capabilities:
Semantic Search: Natural-language queries across study materials. Users ask questions in plain language and get contextually relevant passages, not just keyword matches
Neural Voice Narration: Text-to-speech with natural-sounding neural voices so users can listen to study content hands-free
Sermon Tools: Purpose-built features for sermon preparation, including outline builders, reference linking, and note organization
On-Device AI: AI-powered study assistance that runs entirely on the device. No data leaves the phone, no server dependency
Content Management: Organized libraries with bookmarks, highlights, annotations, and study progress tracking

My Role

Designed and built the entire platform: UI/UX, Flutter mobile app, on-device AI integration, semantic search implementation, neural voice pipeline, and offline data architecture. Solo build from concept to production.
