Ever wonder why there are coaches earning 6-digits to 7-digits?
And here you are thinking, wondering, and asking…
How will you engage with your current 30 - 100 plus clients?
How will you start accepting new clients?
How will you take them to the next - level?
If you are a solopreneur or a one-man team coach who is gradually planning to scale, email marketing is a powerful tool you can leverage to achieve this growth.
It allows you to maintain personalized communication, automate your engagement process, and build strong relationships with your clients, all while expanding your reach effortlessly.
Now before we start let me set the expectation that our goal is to…
Engage with your current 30 - 100 plus clients
Build and nurture incoming potential clients
And take your business and clients to a higher stage
And by all means, I am not saying that this is the only way to scale but this is a ready-to-go resource that you can start even if you are doing it all ALONE!

Let’s Start Building Your List!

Scaling a business always starts when you start doing the numbers. And don’t get twisty and making faces, because it is TRUE.
I am not talking about looking at your client like - client1, client2, client3… NO!
What I am talking about are actual facts, tangible data and results.
How many clients are you currently dealing with per day, week, month, and year?
How many are inquiring on a per day, week, month, and year?
How many are retaining and returning to your business per month and year?
How many are canceling or asking for refunds per month and year?
Because the earlier you accept that your business grows with the number of enrollees, the earlier you can plan, adapt and create your system to scale.
Who will you connect or send email to if you don’t have a list?
That is why you need to start building your list.
The process of building a list can be slow or fast depending on your time, budget, and the size of your audience on other platforms.
The most common way coaches build an email list is by creating a lead magnet.
Quick segue… Your lead magnet is the VALUE you are willing to give to your potential clients.
We might be talking about numbers now but we don’t want to lose what is important “How your service can ultimately help you clients reach the goal they wanted”.
This lead magnet is then shared in places where your audience hangs around to generate organic registration to your list.

VALUE Is Your Best Lead Magnet!

Most starting business owners fail to scale because they fail to understand the value of a lead magnet, thinking…
“I don’t want to give too much because I might lose money”
Think about it, why do famous vacation spots offer free breakfast, welcome drinks, free access to spas, and even free kids stay before you even buy their service?
To give value, and the free they are offering always focus on the same goal to relax.
“But but but… I don’t have the money to give such free stuff.”
Remember when I say “How your service can ultimately help your clients reach the goal they wanted”.
Think about what your target audience’s ‘problem’ is now, and how your ‘offer’ can help them resolve it.
Once you're clear about this, creating your lead magnet will be pretty easy.
Example:
Coach: Pastry Chef
Offer: Baking Course Online Lead Magnet:
“TOP 10 Desserts Using Simple Residential Kitchen - That Your Husband Will Never Forget”
The coach lead magnet is his very own dessert recipe book that housewives can make all of those delicious desserts at home without any fancy baking equipment. With the saying “The best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”, like who doesn’t love desserts?
In this example the coach gives full value using his own dessert recipe, in exchange for his target audience email address, neat right?
Help them resolve one problem or show a roadmap how to resolve it. The goal is to give the best value out of that freebie, and your audience will keep running for more.
Your lead magnet can be in many forms - video, podcast, email sequence, ebook, and etc.
Going back on the example earlier. You can actually use videos for it. On a daily/weekly basis you can send them an email, inside the email is a link leading them to your YouTube channel showing how to make one dessert.
Not only does the coach help them how to make desserts, he also gathers enough subscribers and viewers for his YouTube video. 😉

Onboarding - Don’t Leave Them Hanging!

ALL ABOARD!!!! 🚂🚂🚂🚂
The moment they gave their email in exchange for your lead magnet. Please… please… please.
Don’t leave your audience hanging!!!
Most of the fatal mistakes on having a lead magnet is that it actually starts and ends on getting the lead magnet…
“Like yeahhh, I got your freebie. Thank you?” - they might receive the value but what happens next?
This is the time you create your “Welcome” or “Onboarding” email for them.
Remember the goal of getting a lead magnet is to “Build Your List”.
So don’t be scared of creating your welcome email sequence. It’s the intention to help and the passion you forged your business with. That’s what’s important!
You can do it on your own, have someone send it for you, or use an autoresponder.
An autoresponder is the first automatic response people get when they take advantage of your lead magnet. It's the first step that establishes contact and builds toward establishing a relationship.
Yes that’s right! The next goal is to establish a relationship.
This is where you thank them for showing interest in your business. Welcome them and show them around how your business works. And have them engage in your emails, community, and most importantly with your business.
Here’s an example of how you can start your own Welcome Email Sequence.
Remember the goal is to establish that relationship. People started to show interest by getting your lead magnet, this is the time to step up and get as many of them onboarded, aligned and build that relationship in one go.
And what’s the most affordable way to get in touch with all of the hundreds (and potentially thousands of your audience)... it’s email marketing!

How will they take the next step?

You got them onboarded! Fan-Freaking-Tastic!
Remember to set clear direction on what are the things they need to know about you, your business, mission, and vision.
(which I believe I got covered in the welcome email sample… If you miss it out click link)
This is where you begin to be more irresistible and mostly part of their system or life.
If the lead magnet provides great value and if you your onboarding made the right engagement. Then your audience will mostly start their day scouring through their list of emails just to find yours.
This is where you start acknowledging and informing them on the next problem after resolving the first. Which will ultimately persuade and compel them to get your service/product.
Wait another problem? What do you mean?
I need to give my entire offer to solve their problem and fix the next one?
Going back to the previous example of pastry chef…
Have you baked for the first time and got it right?
How many times have you tried baking and your finished product looks exactly the same as the one on the cover of that cookbook?
How many ingredients have you used to get to a decent finished product?
How many tries do you plan to do to perfect it?
Or do you have plans to make it as a business in your area?
You see, it doesn’t mean that if you gave your business for free the first time it won’t lead to another opportunity.
Life doesn’t give us anything easy and it’s just how the cycle goes. You fix the first one another or two pops-up.
Remember that friend of yours, the one you kept inviting but kept telling you that he/she needs to finish her work then “next time” he/she will join? Did he/she ever join?
So do not be afraid to give out sooo much value on what you are giving, because another opportunity will always arise to help you offer your service.
Just like this material you're reading right now.
If you are someone who doesn’t have a product or service yet - then this freebie of how to scale doesn’t really help you at all.
What you need is a material that helps you identify the product/service you wanted to start with.
If you are someone who hasn't sold a product or hasn't gotten their first client - then this will just pose more questions than answers on getting your first customer.
What you need is a material that helps you get your first client/customer.
If you are someone who is already earning 6 to 7 digits and wanted to know more how to get to their 8th or 9th….
Ehem, ehem, ehem… I am open to joining your team and learning more from you. 😂
I will always go back to the very essence of why I started email marketing…
“How your service can ultimately help your clients reach the goal they wanted”.
If you haven’t invited them to your community, start inviting them.
If you haven’t emphasized your mission and vision to them, start building that culture to them.
If you haven’t offered them any of your services, start offering it to them.
Not all audiences need a complimentary call to get the value of your service. Can you imagine doing a one-on-one call to 100plus people in a week? 😱
I am not saying that complimentary calls are bad lead magnets. But the goal of this material is to guide you how you can start scaling and be more productive.
You don’t want to put all of your eggs in one basket, as they say.
The question “How will they take the next step?” not only applies to your audience and paying clients, but it also applies to you.
With all of the engagement and building culture you created…
What is the biggest problem they have now, that arises after they took action using your lead magnet?
How will you serve a bigger audience that a one-on-one method can no longer accommodate?
What will be your NEW offer to resolve their problem while serving a bigger audience?
Now if you don’t have a system or process build that engagement and culture. Here’s a simple yet effective flow I’ve devised to give you a heads start.

How Much Does It Cost?

Now let’s get down to business. How much do I need to spend to start my email marketing campaign?
Here’s another bonus coming from me. You can start building your list at ZERO cost!
Here are my TOP 3 FREE Email Marketing Tool recommendations.
Mailchimp
MailerLite
Sendinblue
I am not stopping you from exploring other options but the most important reminder I can give you is “Read the plan coverage”.
You don’t want to get charged especially if your business is not ready yet. (Telecomms issue there, anyone? Haha)
You’ll start to pick one that is within your budget. This is a monthly expense that will stay with you once you start going beyond your subscriber list.
More subscribers means more leads means more chances of winning. 🎉
For those who don’t want to venture with any email marketing tools and want to do it manually, you can simply create your own Google Sheet list.
The goal here is to scale using numbers; failing to track or create a database is just negligence not only on your part but also for the growth of your business.
Think of your 5-year business plan…
What does it take to make it happen?
What email system do you need now?
What will you need in 5 years?
Do I upgrade my plan now? Or get another system?
With all of these considered, you can speed up how you scale or you can also slowly build up until you are ready to scale and integrate all the necessary systems for your business to grow.

Do I Need To Stick w/ Emails Only?

Remember when I mentioned “You don’t want to put all of your eggs in one basket”.
I will never tell anyone or any client that… “Email is the BEST! Email #1!”
Email is one of the best and most affordable marketing strategies even in 2024.
Let me drop some facts and actual numbers from the Mailbutler blog.
🤯 There are about 4 BILLION Global email users accounted for from the year 2023. In 2024 expected to increase by around 4.48 billion.
✅ The average email user has 1.75 email accounts.
🤯 99% of email users check their inbox every day, 58% of whom do it first thing in the morning.
🤔 59% of millennials and 67% of Zoomers check their email inbox on their smartphone.
📲 41% of email views come from mobile devices, while 39% come from desktop computers.
Mind blowing right? But one sad truth is I found out after talking to several coaches…
They claim that It only works on well known coaches such as Bill Campbell, Tony Robbins, John Matton and other famous coaches.
Some even said “I didn’t get any result with the last email campaign, but I left it since it made me look ‘successful’ for my business”.
Others even mentioned that they spent thousands of dollars only to find out they were labeled as a “starving hyena” by their clients for selling too much.
Coaches worked hard to help and impact lives, which defeats the purpose and goal of a coach.
I will always go back to the very essence of why I started email marketing…
“How your service can ultimately help your clients reach the goal they wanted”.
Email might be one of the best marketing strategies but again the keyword there is “one of the best”. Meaning you don’t need to entirely focus on email marketing.
If you checked and read the C.E.C. Flow. (here’s the link just in case you missed it)
The flow shows you different mediums to use such as webinars, facebook, website and emails. That goes the same with your lead magnet, your content, or any future projects.
The more you gear towards scaling the more you see that it’s no longer helping one after another then get paid. It leads to impacting more lives as they impact others, a cause of chain reaction where they “pay it forward” and the earnings you get will just look like a bonus.
Even when you are just starting to scale. Can you imagine yourself starting applying from one company to another, getting paid, quitting their job, starting to help people through their offer - is now hiring people to join your team to impact more lives?
You may not believe it now, it may be hard to imagine as of the moment - but as you scale you see and feel as your paradigm shifts making you see a bigger and bigger picture from where you started.
So do not limit yourself with emails only, always ask for feedback and use it to improve your system or process.
If you are having a hard time getting the C.E.C Flow running using other mediums, here’s some email strategy to get that C.E.C flow pumping. Click the link.

Never Forget Your Goal!

Congratulations! You made it this far reading the material.
As you start scaling and take actions on all of the steps in this guide, a last reminder before we end
Never forget your GOAL.
You might be overwhelmed as you started getting a consistent flow of clients/customers.
And scaling can be overwhelming, including the current status of your business.
You might start getting silent whispers telling “Your overstepping your bounds”.
You might start doubting and asking, “What if I make a mistake and start losing all of my clients/customers?”.
And you start telling yourself “I’m okay at where I am right now. I don’t need to do all of this”.
I am here to tell you that it’s perfectly normal to experience all of these.
Some people experience more…
What if I fail and risk losing more?
What if this is a bad decision?
What if I look foolish and overreaching?
And the list will go on… and on…
But think about it?
Where did you even start? How did you end up starting a business? Why are you doing it?
You might have started doing desk jobs and printing endless stream of documents
You might have started handing out papers to promote other business
You might have started firing the grill and cooking endless stream of orders
But that didn’t stop you from leaving your previous job to start your business.
All of these I’ve shared is to help you start scaling in a place of helping.
In exchange of all these - from the step#1 of building your list up to what tools can effectively and efficiently help you base on your preference or need.
I want you to also have this mentality.
“How your service can ultimately help your clients reach the goal they wanted”.
By building your list and nurturing your audience with value-driven communication, you create the foundation for sustainable growth on your own terms.
My late mentor, Sonny Quina - taught me one valuable thing when I was still starting.

“Puso bago Piso”.

Puso in the Philippines means Heart. Piso, which is a Philippine Coin technically means Money.
A heart coming from a place of help, then connecting and giving value will take you to a higher place to scale.
Cheering for your continuous success,
