Black Girl Magic Vlog

I’m used to walking into spaces where I’m the only Black woman and even growing up the only girl in the classroom. While that has its cons and pros it wasn’t until I surrounded myself with folks that looked like me that I began to appreciate my Blackness. That’s the same feeling I got again at the @blackgirlexcellence608 annual conference. Seeing Black women lead sessions on a variety of topics and witnessing 650 Black girls get excited and be encouraged was a beautiful sight. 🥹 This year was my second year attending and I just had to vlog the experience so you can see why it’s crucial, especially growing up that you surround yourself around like-minded individuals. While it only may be for one day, it’s a lifetime of memories these girls will never forget.
