AvenueCX is a boutique Content Strategy consultancy based in the Boston-Metro area. They work with global brands to improve their content solutions: Enterprise content challenges, global B2B and ecommerce websites, enterprise taxonomies that help power federated search, and omnichannel personalization within Fortune 500 companies.
After nearly 8 years of successful operation and continuous business growth, the team decided it was time to update their website in order to reflect a more mature organization and significant service offering.

Approach

StudioRd Design worked closely with the AvenueCX stakeholders to determine an effective repositioning strategy that would apply to both the visual identity and the website user experience.
It was paramount to maintain the equity they had already established in their collection of vintage communication device imagery. As a result, the brand evolution worked around this set of immaculate and unique photographs to create a new and ownable visual identity.

Solution

With a varied use of color, geometric shapes, and diagrammatic lines, we created an active complement to the awe-inspiring vintage communication devices and reimagined the identity without losing its roots.
Pairing these diagrammatic collages with a quirky, yet technical typeface manages to communicate the sense of sophistication and precision that AvenueCX exudes in every engagement.

John had previously defined and designed our branding and identity / visual work when our company launched in 2016. While we wanted to retain our library of vintage communication imagery, we were not confident in how to do so. We also desired a Mid-Century Modernist aesthetic.
