I converted briefs into optimized blog content for an audience of remote workers and digital nomads. Here's how:
The Content Writing Workflow:
Research
After being provided a brief, I dived into research. I made sure to deeply look into every product, topic, or company included in the post, gaining hands-on experience wherever possible.
For sponsored content, I meticulously studied a brand's voice and mission in order to convey it to the readers. I worked through any partner materials provided by the brand and noted the key information that needed to be included.
Outlining
My first step was to transform the brief into a full SEO outline. This included headings, primary and secondary keyword inclusions, and the right CTA to end the post.
Content Writing
The majority of time was spent on this element: creating the content itself. I worked through the outline to bring each point to life, with particular attention given to maintaining the brand's identity. I adopted the exact right tone and writing style to suit the company, following the style guide closely.
Optimization
Once a blog post was complete, I implemented my personal optimization process to ensure the best possible search engine ranking and readability. This step goes beyond proofreading, with additional focus on metadata, internal and external link strategy, and adjusting keyword density.
