Instant Quote Widget — Embeddable Lead Generation Tool

The problem: Most small business websites have a plain contact form — visitors have to guess pricing or wait for a callback just to find out if a service fits their budget. That friction loses leads before a conversation even starts.

What I built: A full-stack, embeddable "instant quote" widget any small business (contractors, salons, gyms, clinics, consultants, agencies) can drop onto their website. Visitors pick their business type, adjust project scope and service tier, and watch a live price estimate animate in real time — no page reload, no waiting. Once they're ready, they submit their contact details directly from the widget to request a real quote.

Frontend: React + Vite, with a live pricing engine that calculates estimates instantly using business-specific base rates, scope multipliers, and tier multipliers — all client-side, so it's fast and works even offline

Backend: Express API with three endpoints handling lead submission, retrieval, and aggregated stats

Database: PostgreSQL storing every submitted lead along with their exact quote parameters, so the business owner gets full context on each inquiry, not just a name and email

Social proof layer: A live stats bar showing real lead counts and breakdowns by business type and tier, pulled directly from the database

Why it matters: This isn't just a pricing calculator — it's a genuine lead-generation and qualification tool. Every submission arrives with the exact scope and tier the visitor was interested in, so the business owner walks into every follow-up call already knowing what the person wants and roughly what they're expecting to pay.
