Vidds.co - Video and Graphics Design Platform

Vidds.co is a web-based video and graphics designing application with a drag-and-drop interface, similar to Canva but for video creation and editing. Users can combine video clips, images, text, music and apply filters to create professional looking videos.

I worked as the lead frontend and backend developer for vidds.co. I collaborated closely with the team and founder to build out the full stack of the platform.

Developed the responsive frontend UI using Vue.js and styled components. Focused on modular, reusable components for efficiency.

Implemented complex drag and drop interactions to allow seamless video editing and layering on the canvas.

Integrated APIs to enable uploading videos, images, fonts, icons and illustrations into the canvas.

Built out forms, modals and interface elements for a smooth, user-friendly experience.

Architected the backend REST APIs with Node.js and Express.

Developed integrations with cloud storage, authentication and media processing APIs.

Implemented video and image optimization and compression techniques to enable fast loading.

Designed database schemas optimized for storing and retrieving media assets.

Utilized caching, CDNs and other performance optimizations.

The end result was an intuitive, responsive web app that lets anyone to create professional videos in minutes.

Vidds.co launched successfully and received positive user feedback for its editor experience and render speeds. The project was delivered on time and on spec.
