German insurers regularly need experienced specialists on demand, while many seasoned insurance professionals want to keep consulting on their own terms. The startup wanted a marketplace where companies search experts by competence and availability, send requests and sign contracts, while the platform takes care of the paperwork: proposals, contracts and correct invoices. Everything had to work in German and English and stay maintainable for years.

WeDo grew the product from an MVP in 2020 into a large Laravel and Vue 2 application. Experts describe their skills through a structured competence catalogue and can import their profile from LinkedIn; companies search, request and contract them. Contracts are generated from templates, invoices pass IBAN validation and render to PDF, and a multi-step manual invoicing flow involves admins. Realtime notifications run on Laravel WebSockets. I set up the architecture, led the team and owned integrations and infrastructure.
