Overview
I designed a personal portfolio from scratch with a strong editorial direction. The goal was to create a bold, visually driven portfolio that stands out from typical designer websites — using striking typography, spacious layouts, and curated imagery that elevates the designer’s identity.
Problem
Most portfolio websites look similar: minimal layouts, generic grids, and predictable sections.
The goal of this project was to break that pattern and build a portfolio with a clear personality — bold, expressive, and memorable — while keeping the content easy to read and visually structured.
Solution
I created an editorial-style website that blends:
Bold serif typography for a strong design voice
High-impact imagery that draws attention
Clean layouts with wide spacing for a premium feel
A clear narrative flow that guides visitors from intro → selected works → contact
Responsive components to ensure consistent experience on mobile
This approach communicates both creativity and professionalism — helping the portfolio feel more like a magazine feature than a typical designer site..
Process
Concept Direction
Exploring themes around editorial layouts, asymmetry, and strong visual contrast to set a unique tone.
Information Architecture
Structuring the portfolio into a simple flow:
Hero → Selected Works → About → Contact
to keep the visitor focused on the essentials.
Visual System
Crafting a typographic system (serif + modern sans), strong hero composition, immersive project thumbnails, and minimal color palette.
High-Fidelity Design
Building clean, spacious pages with bold headlines, supporting copy, and full-width images to establish an editorial look.
Mobile Layout
Translating the same bold feeling into a clean, scroll-friendly mobile experience.

I started with rough moodboards in Figma, pulling references from modern editorial layouts and music poster graphics.
I explored 3 different directions before choosing the one that felt most authentic — a balance of boldness and readability.
What do I stand for as a designer? And the answer became part of the design itself.
