The work on Acorns focused on two key objectives: First, to streamline critical steps in the onboarding process such as social security verification, funding sources, and other sensitive inputs. This was accomplished through improved flow design and extensive user testing. I developed and tested multiple registration pathways, generating actionable insights that directly informed product iteration.
Second, to partner closely with the Product team in designing quality-of-life enhancements aimed at improving the onboarding experience for new users, ensuring a smoother and more intuitive account setup.
Extensive user testing revealed key friction points across the registration flow, providing critical insights that shaped design improvements and streamlined the onboarding experience. The agile approach allowed for rapid iteration, enabling the team to quickly test, validate, and refine a wide range of concepts.
The registration flow was refined after numerous iterations and user testing. In addition, careful attention was given to how users were introduced to bank linking and plan subscription options.
Led design on the Growth team at Acorns, collaborating with Product and Engineering to design, research, and validate onboarding and registration solutions.
