As a developer with a passion for music, I decided to build a platform where I would store and share my favorite mixes and DJ sets. This platform would be one place where I could go and explore music that I like.

The second goal for the project was to open up the platform for the public and allow everyone in the world to participate in the project. The main motivation was to make the platform less subjective and allow everyone to suggest their favorite DJ sets for diversification.

🏗 I had to find a music streaming platform where most of my favorite radio shows and DJ profiles live. The same platform had to have an API I could use to implement on my website.

🏗 Since the website allows users to suggest their favorite DJ sets and radio shows, I had to build the backend where I could store suggested links and useful information for that.

To achieve my goals, I decided to utilize Mixcloud API because the streaming platform has an amazing database of great radio shows and DJs sets. It also provides user-friendly documentation for API integration.

For the backend integration, I chose Google's own Firestore database for secure storing and access of user information.
