Upbrains is a US-based AI company on a mission to simplify operations using Intelligent Agents. Their technology helps teams delegate repetitive work so they can focus on what truly matters.
In November 2024, they reached out to me with one clear mission:
“Launch our website fast — without compromising on quality.”
With a tight 3-week timeline, the stakes were high. The founder had two goals in mind:
Free up developers to build the core product instead of fixing pixel issues.
Empower their designer to own and update the site through a no-code platform like Framer.
Ensure the site is SEO-ready and easy to update without dev support.
😫 The Pain: Dev-Design Bottlenecks
Developed version - mismatch bugs!
The Upbrains team was tired of the constant back-and-forth between designers and developers. Small design mismatches and layout bugs were eating up hours, delaying launches, and distracting developers from meaningful work.
“We don’t want to keep fixing spacing and color issues. Let’s give our designer full control to publish and update pages easily.”
They needed:
A responsive, SEO-optimized site.
Full design fidelity — pixel perfect.
A setup where the designer could take over after launch.
That’s where Framer came in.
✅ The Solution: Design-to-Live with Framer
Thanks to their talented designer, the Figma file was clean, responsive-ready, and followed a solid design system (typography, color styles, mobile/tablet layouts). That made my development work fast and efficient.
Clean CMS for easy content updates (blog, agents, integrations,…)
Smooth animations and interactions
🔧 Development Process: From Figma to Framer
Carefully replicated each section from Figma with the correct styles.
Removed unnecessary layers to improve responsiveness and performance.
Created reusable components (buttons, tabs, navbars) for faster iteration.
Improved upon some designs to enhance visual clarity.
“Framer made it possible to build a high-quality, scalable website without writing tons of code.”
However, we hit a technical limitation:
Framer’s server-side rendering made it tricky to implement dynamic search and filters.
I wrote custom code to support it, but faced optimization issues due to a jQuery conflict.
We reviewed other solutions for future scalability.
📈 The Outcome
The website launched on time with excellent performance scores.
The designer can now:
Add/edit blog posts
Update text/images
Launch new pages — without a single developer involved.
Developers are now 100% focused on building the AI platform.
The company saved time, energy, and budget — and now invests more into what moves the needle.
