El Mercado del Norte is a marketplace web platform where businesses and independent sellers can publish stores, services, properties, vehicles, and products.
The problem
The platform needed to bring varied commercial listings and direct contact into one discoverable marketplace experience.
The solution
I built a marketplace structure that supports business profiles and publications across multiple listing types. The user-facing experience organizes discovery by category, with paths for products, services, properties, and vehicles. The backend exposes API-driven functionality for publications and platform data, with integrations for media and payments.
Stack
Django, Django REST Framework, Next.js, React, TypeScript, MySQL, Cloudinary, and Mercado Pago.
