Jamjar, a UK company established in 1997, was the first online car-selling comparison service. The platform connects sellers and buyers (car dealers) to facilitate transactions in a fully transparent manner, offering no hidden fees, secure instant payments, and free collection.
Challenge
So far, Jamjar has operated as a car-selling comparison service company but now aims to evolve into a platform where sellers can receive offers from different dealers. At the same time, buyers will be able to access detailed information about the sellers' vehicles, enabling them to provide the best possible quotes.
Solution
JamJar partnered with CloseFuture to develop a responsive web app using Bubble, designed to serve both buyers and sellers. Additionally, CF team built a mobile app for buyers to help them schedule appointments with sellers.
Design & Development
Seller Side
Sellers can provide their personal and car details, enabling the platform to match them with the best dealers. Invitations can be sent automatically or manually. A dashboard has been built to track offers, schedule appointments, and respond to buyers' requests for additional information.
Seller side
Buyer side
Buyers can complete the onboarding process by setting all their preferences and inviting their colleagues to join the platform. They have access to a dedicated dashboard where they can track matched vehicles, make offers, and communicate with sellers. Buyer administrators are granted additional privileges, allowing them to modify preferences as needed.
Postcode Map
Created an interactive map that allows buyers to select postcodes where they want to find deals. Additionally, they can choose areas such as London, Scotland, and Wales separately.

Rating System
Developed a comprehensive rating system to evaluate buyers based on their positive and negative actions within the app.
Mobile App
The buying tool, available as both a web application and a native mobile app, is designed to ensure smooth transactions during appointments with sellers.
Result
Finally, JamJar has developed a web and mobile app designed to address the challenges faced by both sellers and buyers in the car-selling process. Given their experience in the car reselling industry and the current technology they employ, they are well-positioned to disrupt the car-selling market in the UK.
