Project: “One Year Out” — FIFA Hospitality (2026 World Cup Launch)
In celebration of the official "One Year Out" milestone for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ in North America, I was tasked with producing a high-impact video for FIFA Official Hospitality, to screen across traditional broadcast, DOOH, and social. The video was designed to energize fans, partners, and global audiences across all channels; announcing the countdown and highlighting the scale of the upcoming tournament.

PART 1: Motion System & Design Language
Animation Mechanic Development
The foundation of the video’s visual identity relied on a clean, modular animation mechanic that could scale across FIFA’s future assets. I designed a layered “patchwork-style” reveal system, using key colors, angles, and motion cues that reflect the North American host cities’ diversity and the spirit of the tournament. This system was built in After Effects to be easily repurposed for transitions, text reveals, and geographic cut-ins.

Typography & Visual Elements
I developed animated text treatments for callouts like "One Year Out," date reveals, and key host city footage. All typography was formatted to match FIFA's brand guidelines, while the animated compositions gave the campaign a fresh, cinematic polish.

PART 2: Editorial, Color, and Final Delivery
Editing & Story Flow
I structured the edit to create momentum—balancing wide drone shots, city-specific footage, and player celebration clips with bold textual messaging. Pacing was essential: each beat was timed to build excitement while delivering logistical info cleanly and efficiently. For the final shot, I roto'd out a foreground element from the final shot, for a more impactful, high-energy reveal of the Logo/lockup and end copy.
