Abodes Homes is a comprehensive, user-friendly website designed to facilitate the search for apartments and holiday rentals in Morocco. The platform caters to a diverse range of users, including students, professionals, families, and vacationers, offering an intuitive interface and personalized search options to find the perfect property.

Users faced difficulties in finding reliable, user-friendly platforms for apartment hunting in Morocco. The existing websites were often cluttered, lacked necessary features, and provided poor user experiences.

The objective of the project was to create an intuitive, efficient, and enjoyable apartment search experience, addressing user pain points and providing comprehensive features for both renters and real estate agents.

I conducted secondary research and a competitive analysis of existing apartment search websites to understand the needs and behaviors of users searching for apartments in Morocco.

Initially, I assumed that users primarily struggled with locating listings and contacting agents. However, our research revealed deeper issues such as lack of trust in the listings, inadequate filtering options, and poor mobile usability, leading me to refine my focus on creating a reliable and user-friendly platform.

Problem Statement:

Emmanuel is a university student who needs a user-friendly platform for finding affordable apartments near his campus. He needs a cost-effective housing solution that reduces his commute time and enhances his academic experience.

Goal: Facilitate Emmanuel's apartment search experience, while ensuring he feels informed, confident, and supported throughout the process.

Creating the paper wireframes, my main objective was to rapidly iterate the core functionality and user flow for Abodes Homes. This method enabled me to examine different design possibilities and guarantee an intuitive, user-centric experience without concentrating on intricate design details.

I improved the initial wireframes by refining the original sketches, which enhanced functionality and flow.

Creating the digital wireframes, the aim was to polish and elaborate on the paper wireframe ideas, guaranteeing a clear and unified user experience. Attention was given to the accuracy of the layout, the interactivity of elements, and ensuring accessibility.

I conducted two rounds of usability studies to test the wireframes for the Abodes Homes website. The studies aimed to identify usability issues and gather feedback to refine the design. The findings revealed several key areas for improvement and user preferences.
