Project Brief
The goal was to design and create a modern, user-friendly website that reflects the company’s values, showcases their unique selling points (USPs), and appeals to their target audience. The website had to be visually appealing, easy to navigate, and optimized for both desktop and mobile devices. Additionally, the website had to include links to their social media profiles and provide clear calls to action (CTAs) to encourage user engagement.
Step-by-Step Design Process
1. Understanding the Client’s Needs and Goals
Initial Consultation: We started by thoroughly understanding SP Smart Electronics GmbH’s business model, USPs, and target audience. The client provided a detailed brief, including preferred design elements, color schemes, and examples of websites they liked.
Target Audience Analysis: The primary target audience includes property owners aged 30 and above, middle to upper class, and located in and around Basel.
2. Research and Inspiration Website Refference
Competitor Analysis: We analyzed the websites of competitors and other companies in the same industry to identify best practices and areas for differentiation.
Inspiration from Example Sites: The client provided examples of websites such as Swiss Solar City and ,Sunfuel and others which served as inspiration for the design, especially in terms of layout, visualization, and CTAs.
3. Wireframing
Wireframe: We created a wireframe to outline the basic structure of the website, including the placement of key elements such as the header, navigation menu, content sections, and footer.
4. Design and Visual Elements
Color Scheme: Based on the client’s preferences, we chose a clean and professional color palette with the primary color matching SP Smart’s logo color, green.
Typography: We chose a modern, easy-to-read font that aligned with the company’s brand identity.

6. Final Thoughts
Designing a website that aligns with a company’s brand and meets its business goals requires a thorough understanding of the client’s needs, careful planning, and attention to detail. By following a structured design process, we were able to create a website that not only looks great but also drives user engagement and supports the company’s growth objectives.
