Tenant to Tenant migration using Quest ODM

Migrated company’s mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Planner data from Microsoft 365 tenant to another Microsoft 365 tenant using Quest on Demand Migration tool.

● Requirement gathering (security and functional).

● Solution alignment with InfoSec and IT teams.

● Gathered source environment inventory (Mailbox size report, mailbox delegate report, mailbox forwarding, Inactive mailbox report, distribution security group, OneDrive, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Planner report).

● Created the Quest on Demand Migration tool subscription.

● Created the mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint Site, Microsoft Teams, security groups and distribution groups in target environment (Microsoft 365) for source users.

● Performed initial data sync of 800+ mailboxes from source Microsoft 365 tenant to Microsoft 365.

● Performed delta synchronisation every week.

● On cutover date, initiated the delta sync for 800+ mailboxes.

● Added the domain in Microsoft 365 target tenant, Microsoft Exchange On-premises server and published the MX (To Mimecast), CNAME (To Office 365) and TXT (Added Mimecast hostname) records.

● Changed the email address same as source system in target environment using PowerShell script.

● Performed thorough testing of the inbound and outbound mail flow on cutover date.

● Provided support for post migration issues.
