Art Director, Flavia Cureteu contacted me to create a spot for her sustainable project on rethinking luxury in fashion.
The visuals were made using a machine learning data set of plastic in the sea, and items from the rubbish, as well as a selection of found footage (photos also found in the bin).

⌇DATA SET & MACHINE LEARNING
I created the data set 'ocean plastic' by collecting hundreds representative photos. They were then fed into a style GAN to create interpolated animations, using machine learning, which created these abstract forms.
⌇ FRAMES FROM THE FINAL VIDEO
Found photographs were also included by way of conveying the idea that one person's trash is another's treasure. It also plays with the idea that often with luxury brands, we don't know exactly what we're buying.
