Cisco developed Suite 404, an immersive experience aimed at raising awareness around cybersecurity issues. It simulates a cyber attack on a hotel chain during a major sporting event, and they engaged CreaSenso to produce the trailer within a single week.
We were tasked with animating David Vanadia’s illustrations. We aimed to create an atmosphere reminiscent of the opening credits of Steven Spielberg’s Catch Me If You Can — a very distinctive feel.
The aesthetic also featured a retro, colorful touch, evoking the Archer series credits. By the same day, we had developed an animatic using these two references and a storyboard.
Animation
Due to the tight schedule, we brought Theo Adam on board to strengthen the team. Our team took on the character rigs (for the opening scene and elevator), animation, and editing, while Theo handled the close-ups.
For these close-up scenes, we used After Effects, while broader scenes with all the characters were animated in Moho, which offered more versatility and speed.
Evolving
Our initial draft, dense in terms of scene cuts, lacked intensity and readability during the attack sequence. We iterated rapidly, with everyone responding to feedback immediately.
This process culminated in a complete color overhaul on the rendering day, which we managed smoothly thanks to our experience in structured, production-ready workflows.
Conclusion
Although time constraints can sometimes prevent polishing, in this case, it worked to our advantage. We channeled the urgency of a cyber-attack scenario, developing a fast, flexible workflow.
The final result is a motion piece with strong art direction and unique staging. We’re thrilled with this first collaboration with CreaSenso and David Vanadia.
