I’ve been your fool
Since the day you enthralled me
You make me flutter
Deep within my heart
That’s been bashed, kicked
And spit on so many times
Yet you only need to be
In my peripheral
And it finally breathes
For the first time in years
These emotions are still bottled
Coke and Mentos touch
I feel like I’m bursting
The seams are starting to bend
Even with this bundle
Of energy inside
I keep my composure
To pay attention to you
You’re the type of siren
That only needs words
To capture poor men
Lost at sea
I’m floating towards you
