By Decree of The Archivist A Proclamation to All Souls, Across All Ages
To you — wherever you are, whenever you are — You are expected.
The gates of Frostmere open but once in the memory of an age, and that moment, traveler, is now.
Come by sea if the salt is in your blood. Come by saddle, by caravan, or by the road your boots have walked since the world was young. Come as you are: in your plate armor or your silk robes, wrapped in furs or crowned in feathers. Bring your hungers and your oldest stories. Leave your wars and your boundaries at the harbor's edge.
Beyond the Arch, you will find that you are understood. This has always been Frostmere's first gift to the weary.
Within these walls, you will discover what no single era could offer you alone — the food of a thousand tables, the music of a million strings, and the company of souls you were never meant to meet, yet now cannot imagine having missed.
This is not a dream. This is not a legend. This is Frostmere.
The Bazaar is lit. The harbor is full. The animals are at rest. I am watching, and I am pleased.
Come.

The Film

History Lives Here

The Grand Opening of Frostmere

Frostmere is a world outside of time. A living bazaar where every era of human history arrives at once after receiving a mysterious scroll; an invitation.
Vikings and pirates compare ships at the harbor.
A valley girl from 1990s California makes pink cocktails for an amused Norse warrior.
An ancient Egyptian queen finally meets the woman known only as The Archivist, who has waited thousands of years to find her.
Three days on Melius. An invitation scroll. Harbor arrivals beneath antlers and purple wisteria. A grand bazaar. The Archivist presiding over all of it. Her love letter to the past.
History repeating itself in the best way.

The World

Japanese samurai walk beside Marie Antoinette's ladies in waiting. A big red bearded Scotsman in full kilt welcomes everyone with open arms and kind eyes while Corgis trot around his feet.
Frostmere is not a fantasy. It is a philosophy. If every person who ever lived could meet each other firsthand, share food, compare stories, see each other as human, history would not have to repeat itself. Frostmere is that place.
The name Frostmere is Norse and Old English in origin, drawn from the founder's own heritage and DNA. The world is presided over by The Archivist, a timeless figure who exists outside of any single era, who has kept the gates since before any age had a name, and who has been waiting, she says, a very long time to meet you.
This submission is the Grand Opening of Frostmere, a cinematic campaign built on Melius. The Invitation, The Harbor Arrival, The Arch, The Bazaar, and The Meeting of a Queen the Archivist has wanted to meet her entire life.
It is the beginning of a much larger world still being built.

The Process

Step One — The Brief

I opened Melius already knowing exactly what I wanted and fed the agent a comprehensive world brief describing Frostmere, its philosophy, its magic rules, its aesthetic, its characters, depth and the two part deliverable I had in mind.

Step Two — The Invitation Scroll

Working with the agent I developed the text of The Archivist's invitation in her voice. I then generated the scroll as a still image using GPT Image 2, aged parchment, illuminated borders, calligraphy text, and the name Frostmere rendered in Norse runes, Arabic, Japanese, hieroglyphics, Greek and Latin as a mini Rosetta Stone. I iterated twice to correct the header text and replace the wax seal with my existing Frostmere bronze gold F seal. The final scroll is submission ready.

Step Three — The Grand Harbor Arrival

I worked with the agent to build a detailed cinematic prompt for the harbor scene, every vessel from every era arriving simultaneously, every culture represented on land, golden hour sky, torchlit cobblestone docks. I iterated twice. The first pass gave me a French Arc de Triomphe style arch which was wrong for Frostmere. The second pass gave me everything I asked for including the Scotsman, the Corgis, the elephant, the French noblewomen, the fire-pit and the perfect pink and amber sunset sky.

Step Four — The Frostmere Arch

Instead of a stone arch I designed a living arch of naturally shed antlers woven with cascading purple wisteria, a wrought iron snowflake chandelier, tiny dot lights, Japanese rice paper lanterns and a simple weathered wood FROSTMERE sign. The agent helped me describe it precisely enough for GPT Image 2 to nail it on the first pass. The arch also generated an extraordinary video showing the camera moving through it into a grand domed hall, one of the most magical assets in the submission.

Step Five — The Grand Bazaar Interior

I described the interior as Hagia Sophia scale meets Grand Bazaar of Istanbul, soaring domes, layered lanterns from every culture, mosaic floors, stalls of every era. The valley girl easter egg moment, blonde, pink dress, handing a pink cocktail to an amused Viking while a pirate watches, ended up center frame rather than background. She owned the room. The image was generated shot on RED camera quality and is photorealistic.

Step Six — The Archivist

Referencing an image of myself for the likeness of the Archivist character with silver white hair, white lace gown, elaborate Kokoshnik crown and white eagle companion, I placed her into the Frostmere world across multiple scenes. Standing at the entrance of her bazaar. Walking through the crowd with the eagle's wings spread behind her like they are hers. Greeting an ancient Egyptian Queen in a moment of mutual recognition and adoration that has waited thousands of years to happen.

Step Seven — The Film

The agent helped me sequence all scenes into a final film with bridge transitions, ambient soundscape, and a closing audio of The Archivist's single final word: Come.

The Melius Feedback

What worked beautifully: Melius is remarkably easy to learn quickly, especially with an AI agent you can ask anything in plain language. The ability to brief the agent on an entire world and have it understand the scope, rename the project appropriately, and help develop prompts collaboratively was genuinely impressive.
The range of models available, GPT Image 2, Seedance 2, Kling, gave real creative flexibility. The fact that it could generate a photorealistic image of ancient Egypt collaborating with Vikings and medieval Europe mingling with a valley girl from California, nailing period appropriate clothing and details across every era simultaneously, is remarkable. The intimate moment between The Archivist and the Egyptian Queen, foreheads together, hands clasped, golden bazaar light around them, evoked exactly the emotion I was after. Longing. Admiration. Love. A little sadness that this place does not actually exist.
What was frustrating: Credit costs were unpredictable. An estimate would come in at 120 credits and then jump to 5,400 for the same generation. Having to deny and renegotiate costs mid workflow interrupted creative momentum significantly. Consistency between realism and illustrated styles was sometimes difficult to maintain, some scenes came out photorealistic and others leaned painterly or animated without asking.
One auto generated video depicted an entirely wrong scene with no connection to any prompt given, a crowd of people from one culture surrounding a woman kneading dough in a circle as if waiting for her to break dance. Cultural diversity in AI generated crowd scenes needs significant improvement, when left to its own devices the model defaulted to a single culture rather than the global cross era mix that was explicitly and repeatedly requested. I used long and short prompt both detailed and vague to see what it would do. I specified cultures, races, etc.
I told Melius that, to our knowledge, Vikings did not wear horn helmets. Only one Viking-era helmet has ever been found (from what I've read) and it was a simple leather cap. The model defaults to horned helmets due to pop culture, understandable and I will elaborate that next time.
Historical accuracy in well documented areas like this should be improvable but so should my specificity and patience in explaining certain things in depth to some degree in order to achieve the results I need. We only know what we are told and I'd assume that goes for LLMs and the like.

What surprised me: The speed. Building an entire cinematic world in one night was not something I expected to be possible. The agent's ability to hold the context of a complex world across many nodes and many hours of work was genuinely impressive. I came in with a world already living in my head and Melius helped me show it to other people for the first time.

Frostmere is a world that exists outside of time itself. A cinematic campaign built on Melius for something that doesn't exist and wish it did.
