Damavand Pictures - Squarespace Website Design & Build

Damavand Pictures is an independent film production company based in Vancouver, led by Dr. Ali Ghahary. Trevor and Ali brought me in to design and build their website from the ground up, giving their films, slate and leadership team a cinematic home that matched the ambition of the work.

Full Squarespace design and build: Home, Film, Development, Leadership, Reach and Awaken

Full-screen video hero and a dark, cinematic visual system

Film pages with posters, festival laurels, synopsis and IMDb links

Custom code for interactive leadership cards

The home page opens on a full-screen video of Mount Damavand at sunrise beneath the company wordmark, followed by the company's "awakened volcano" manifesto. A deep navy palette carries through every page so the work reads like a film title sequence.

Film pages pair each poster and its festival laurels with genre, runtime, synopsis and an IMDb link. On the Leadership page, each team member's card has a gradient glow that follows the mouse, with accordion bios that keep the page compact.

Delivered in January 2023, with the site still live and representing the company today.
