TribeChat — Community Discovery & Web App UI/UX Design

Tribe Chat is a community web app built around a simple idea: help people find their people and start a conversation. I designed the product experience across sign-up, profile creation, interest selection, community discovery, and chat.

The visual direction pairs a dark interface with warm yellow accents and a campfire motif. It gives the product a welcoming identity while keeping the actions people need easy to find.

A new community member has two jobs before a conversation can begin: establish who they are and discover where they belong. The experience needed to connect those steps without making the product feel like a long registration form or an empty chat window.

The design also needed to distinguish personal conversations, communities, discovery, and profile settings within one consistent workspace.

I broke entry into focused screens for phone verification, profile details, social links, and interests. Each screen has a clear primary action, so the person can concentrate on one decision at a time.

For the first visit, I designed a home screen that offers concrete ways to begin: discover tribes, start a chat, invite friends, or create a tribe. This gives the empty state a purpose and makes the next step visible.

A persistent navigation rail connects Home, Tribes, Discover, Settings, and the member profile. Repeated form styles, spacing, and action colors keep the journey recognizable as people move between setup and the community workspace.

The resulting UI/UX design connects onboarding with community discovery and conversation in one visual system. The screens below show the entry flow, member setup, discovery, and the web app workspace. The deliverable is a product experience that explains how to get started and gives new members a clear route into the community.
