Project Overview

The client contacted me on Upwork to build his MVP on Bubble using the Canvas by AirDev framework. The app caters to users who are mechanic workshop owners/managers and offers booking/scheduling features to help them manage and book appointments with clients who want to purchase their services. I developed the entire application using the Canvas framework, ensuring a visually appealing design and optimized performance. The project included seamless Stripe integration for recurring monthly and yearly payments, along with rigorous testing to guarantee scalability and peak performance."

The Challenge

The primary challenge was creating a robust scheduling system that catered to the manager's schedule and the various services being offered within each available schedule. The secondary challenge was creating a clear distinction between managers on a paid subscription plan and those who are not, limiting certain features to non-paying managers, and giving full access to managers who are on a paid plan.

The Solution

To meet these needs, I created a system that would make the assigning of appointments to various schedules possible by using data type objects, option sets, and date-time-specific plugins.

I implemented Stripe to facilitate payments from managers seeking full access to the app, while also utilizing Stripe as a subscription management tool, allowing managers to oversee and manage their subscription plans effectively.

Key Features:

Efficient and clean build with Canvas Framework: By utilizing the capabilities of the Canvas framework, I was able to dedicate more attention to optimizing workflows and structuring data within the app. This resulted in a sleek, modern design paired with strong backend functionality.

Robust scheduling system: By utilizing Bubble's powerful backend capabilities and diverse plugin options, I successfully developed a functional scheduling system designed to accommodate the various schedules a manager might need.

Stripe Integration: Using Stripe as a payment gateway, my client can rest assured that all payment-related tasks, including subscription management on the app, are seamlessly handled by Stripe.
