Realm – Performance Creative for the Best Musicians App Launch
🔍 The Challenge
Realm was preparing to launch their music app… A feature-rich platform designed to bridge the gap between digital tools and real-life creative workflow for musicians. But they had no ad creatives, no marketing materials, and no clear way to communicate how their product translated into real-world value.
They came to me with only static app frames and the need to:
• Launch on Meta Ads for both the App Store and Google Play
• Drive installs from day one
• Make a highly functional (but visually complex) product understandable and desirable
🎯 The Objective
Drive user acquisition with high-performing ads that convert.
The goal wasn’t just to make the app look good… It was to craft video and static creatives that performed in a paid media environment.
We needed to communicate Realm’s core value in a way that clicked instantly with musicians and early adopters. All while building a clear visual identity for a brand no one had seen yet.
🎨 The Work
I delivered a full suite of performance-focused creative, including:
• Meta ad videos and static creatives
• Feature walkthrough videos
• App store visual assets and page design elements
The strategy was about merging Realm’s clean, music-forward aesthetic with conversion principles proven to work on paid platforms. Every asset walked the line between visually striking and performance-driven.
We also split-tested multiple creative angles and messaging styles to quickly identify the top performers.
📈 The Results
Crushed download targets within the first month
• Revealed Realm’s best-performing messaging angles through testing
• Set new, higher growth goals due to above-benchmark performance
• Created clarity not just for users, but also for the product team
💡 What Made It Work
Most teams try to “explain” their app. We made users feel what using Realm would be like, and why it mattered.
By focusing on user value first, not features, and making sure every creative was rooted in real impact, we were able to blend storytelling with performance seamlessly.
