In this project, me and my friend worked on a commission for Faculty of Art and Design of Bandung Institute of Technology, specifically for Visual Communication and Design major. In this project, I mainly used Procreate for rough sketches and concepting, and then making the final product in Adobe Illustrator. I contribute mainly for the sketch concepting, character illustrations, and the quality control of the vector design, while my friend was in charge for the environment and the color palette picking.

First, we discuss with our client about what they want to show on the mural (what they want to emphasize, the mood, the atmosphere, some particular requests).

Then we search some suitable references to be discussed with the client (in order to confirm if it is already match enough with their vision).

I draw the rough sketches and we did some revisions (two major revisions + 1 minor). After the sketches are finalized, my friend decided the color palette using the existing visual references.

Using the finalized sketches and the color palettes, we made the finalized illustration on Adobe Illustrator separately (me focus on the characters, my friend focused on the environment)

Having final discussion with the client to make sure if the finalized art style is good enough. After that we finished the whole illustrations.
