Cills.ie: website design and Framer build for a construction ordering app
Cills.ie makes made-to-measure aluminum parts in Dublin and sells them to contractors through a measuring app. We designed and built their website in Framer, starting from one of our own website templates, and it was live in under two weeks.
Client: Cills.ie · Industry: Construction products, construction tech · What we did: Website design and build · Platform: Figma, Framer · Timeline: started 27 Jan 2026, live by 9 Feb 2026 · Live: February to April 2026, now in the Web Archive
About the client
Cills.ie makes made-to-measure aluminum window sills, cappings and flashings in Dublin. Contractors measure and order them in a 3D app, on the web or on their phone. Cills.ie has since moved to a new site; ours was live from February to April 2026.
The challenge
The site had to say two things at once: this is a serious trade platform, and you can order from your phone today.
A technical product. Guided measuring, 3D previews and color choices are a lot to explain.
Busy buyers. Contractors need ordering to feel quick and simple.
An old habit. Before the app, ordering meant emails, chasing quotes and guessing measurements.
Proof before sign-up. Buyers needed to see the ordering screen before they signed up.
What we did
Make one promise on the first screen
The headline says it plainly: “Measure and Order Custom Aluminium Products Instantly. From your phone.”
An email field sits right under it, with three short promises: real-time tracking, free unlimited use and fair pricing.
Show the ordering screen before sign-up
Under the first screen, a preview of the “My Window Cill Orders” dashboard shows project cards and order status.
Contractors see how ordering works before they hand over an email.
Further down, “How it Works” shows ordering in five steps: measure, customise, order, track, then deliver or collect.
Explain the product to trade buyers
A side-by-side comparison, “Traditional Suppliers vs. Cills.ie”, sets the old way of ordering against the app.
“Who We Help” names six kinds of buyer, from builders and retrofit contractors to architects and self-builders.
“Choose Your Service Level” lays out three options, from measuring in the app yourself to a full measure, make and fit service.
Hand the content to the team
Products, Projects and Blog run on the Framer CMS, so the team adds content without a developer.
App Store and Google Play links sit across the site.
Make a template theirs
We started from one of our own website templates, then changed it to fit their brand, products and buyers.
Navy and white, with a script line for “From your phone”.
Scope
Included:
Website design in Figma and build in Framer, starting from one of our own templates.
A home page with email sign-up, dashboard preview, comparison and service levels.
CMS set-up for Products, Projects and Blog.
Not included:
The ordering app. The 3D measuring and ordering app is Cills.ie’s own product.
SEO work after launch. There was no ongoing SEO retainer.
Their current site. Cills.ie replaced our build with a new site by May 2026.
Results
Live by 9 February 2026, 13 days after we started on 27 January.
Live from February to April 2026. The Web Archive keeps copies from 9 February and 17 April 2026.
Their team could add products, projects and blog posts in the CMS without a developer.
What we’d improve next
If we picked the site up again, we would recommend:
Fuller project pages. Show each job with photos, location, the products used and a few paragraphs, so every page has something new to say.
A distinct page per product. Write each product page for its own use and buyer, not as a near-copy of the others, so search engines index them all.
One delivery promise. Show the same lead time everywhere on the site and in directory listings, so buyers know what to expect.
Working on something similar?
I design websites in Figma and build them in Framer or Webflow, so your team can edit every page without a developer. Message me here on Contra with your site or Figma file, and I’ll reply with a plan and a fixed price.
