Tiny Tresses, a mock-up Black-owned haircare company provides natural hair care products for children. The company's product line seeks to celebrate natural hair in children and make natural hair care a fun and enjoyable experience for young children. The aim of this project was to design a logo and packaging design for the company that can be used for product placement and for web/social. The target audience is parents and guardians of children 0-12 years of age with naturally curly, coily, and kinky textures. I put together a mood board and color palette that evoked feelings and memories of youthfulness, natural hair and haircare, diversity of Black hair, and environments dedicated to Black beauty. I selected typography that were bold yet youthful, and that embodied flow and ease.

I ultimately decided to go with the first font and I designed the logo keeping at the forefront of my stylistic choices, the joy, boundlessness, and beauty of natural hair - captured through the added curvature to the letters. I chose pink as the main color element and selected yellow, red, green, blue, and brown as accent colors; evoking brightness, dedication to Black girlhood, and youthfulness.
