Project Overview

The Desert Crunch is a creative 10-second AI-powered commercial concept featuring Pringles Original, combining surreal comedy, cinematic storytelling, photorealistic visuals, and imaginative product advertising.

The concept transforms a simple snack into an unexpected desert adventure, using humor, visual effects, and a surprising ending to demonstrate how AI-generated advertising can make everyday products more memorable.

The Challenge

Traditional product advertisements often rely on predictable product shots, which can struggle to capture attention in fast-moving social media feeds.

The creative challenge was to develop a short-form advertisement that immediately attracts attention, showcases the product naturally, and delivers an entertaining story within just 10 seconds.

Another key consideration was maintaining realistic character movements, accurate product packaging, consistent environments, and cinematic visual quality throughout an AI-generated production.

My Creative Solution

I developed an original surreal comedy concept set entirely in a cinematic desert environment.

The story follows a young man searching for the last Pringles crisp. What begins as an ordinary snack moment turns into a ridiculous adventure when his arm magically reaches through the desert sand to retrieve the crisp.

After enjoying a satisfying crunch, he discovers an enormous potato crisp emerging from the desert behind him, delivering an unexpected comedic ending.

The concept uses exaggerated visual storytelling to make the product memorable while keeping the world visually photorealistic.

Creative Process & AI Workflow

I designed a structured six-shot storyboard with precise timing, camera movements, character direction, visual effects, and sound design.

The production workflow was developed around Google Flow AI video generation, using reference-guided prompting to support consistent characters, realistic product details, and cinematic scene transitions.

The creative approach combines:

AI-generated cinematic video concepts and prompt engineering

Photorealistic product advertising and surreal 3D-style VFX

Character consistency and branded product integration
